We believe the Nikon Zoom 300/310 AF are one of the most under-rated compact camera that is a not only very pocket-able, but packs a decent lens with aperture of f/3.5 at 35mm, to f/6.5 at 70mm zoom. It is certainly not an Olympus Mju II or Ricoh GR camera, but if you are looking for a discreet street shooter that doesn't break the bank, this is the one we recommend. It focuses down to a minimum of 60cm, which is great for taking close-up shots of interesting subjects when you walk-around!
